Our Case Managers work directly with our families to focus on specific challenges throughout their cancer journey. We assist with budgeting & planning, securing additional resources & provide support through our number programs. ACFC also provides financial assistance to those who qualify.
A visit from a four-pawed, tail-wagging friend is often the best medicine. Our 4 Paws for Healing Program provides recurring K9 visits from our certified therapy dog, Leo, and his furry volunteer friends. We also offer individual and family counseling services and coping skills workshops, provided by a licensed mental health professional.
Like sunshine on a cloudy day, we uplift families by gifting much-needed/wanted items and experiences. Every child assisted through our programs receives our signature Sunshine Pack, which includes comforting, educational and entertaining items. Additionally, we provide year-round support through our Adopt-A-Family, Birthday Wish and Respite subprograms.
AVA'S TREE HOUSE JR.
We have converted our current office space into Ava’s Tree House Jr. The 1,300 square foot space now features specialized cleaning protocol and amenities for families to enjoy arts/crafts, games, movies, our signature toy room, reading and relaxation. Our vision is to create an innovative resource center that caters to the unique needs of children with cancer. In addition to the emotional and financial burden that pediatric cancer brings, children are stripped away from their childhood.
