A child undergoing cancer treatment spends days, weeks, sometimes months in the hospital, and the overall expense of having a child with cancer is often too much for families to handle. ACFC assists families with travel, medical, rent, and other expenses associated with, and impacted by, their child's cancer diagnosis. Typical assistance is $500-$2,000.
Traveling with a child that has cancer can be overwhelming. The goal of our Cancer Concierge is to eliminate caregiver stress by providing a coordinated lodging and transportation plan for in-state and out-of-state travel.
Every child assisted through our programs receives our signature Sunshine Pack which includes comforting items such as a blanket, books, small games, art supplies, and more.
A visit from a four pawed & tail wagging friend is often the best medicine. ACFC’s K9 Companion program offers in-home visits for our patients and their family. Our therapy dogs have a magical way of putting everyone at ease- children, caregivers, and medical staff alike, while providing a much needed break. ACFC also offers K9 companion and service dog placement for qualifying patients.
